What is ConceptionXR®?
ConceptionXR® is a safe, evidence-based nutritional supplement designed to support normal male fertility. It contains antioxidants designed to decrease oxidative stress in the semen, along with other nutrients designed to support normal sperm production.
How does ConceptionXR® work?
When sperm are being formed, they are subject to damage from highly reactive oxidizing molecules known as free radicals. The free radicals are caused by the effect of oxygen as it passes through the cells in the body. Many infertile men have a higher concentration of these oxidizing molecules in their semen when compared to fertile males. Antioxidant nutrients fight against free radicals and the damage they cause. In addition to antioxidants, ConceptionXR® contains other nutrients that support normal sperm production, and may optimize a man’s reproductive health.

So, for best results ConceptionXR® should be taken for at least three months, or until pregnancy occurs.

Should I continue to take other nutritional supplements with ConceptionXR®?
If you are currently taking a "low-dose" multivitamin and mineral supplement, you can continue to take this in addition to ConceptionXR®. "Low-dose" refers to a multivitamin and mineral supplement providing approximately 100% of the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) and/or Adequate Intake (AI) of each, or most, nutrient(s). You will find this information listed on the supplement's label. Multivitamin and mineral supplements that provide "mega-doses" of nutrients are not necessary and may cause interactions with drugs or among nutrients, or result in nutrient toxicity. Taking additional amounts of nutrients that are contained in ConceptionXR® is generally not recommended. If you have questions about any additional dietary supplements that you are currently taking, please contact our Registered Dietitian via email:

Is ConceptionXR® expensive?
ConceptionXR® costs $85 for a 1-month supply, $210 for a 3-month supply ($70/month), and $390 for a 6-month supply ($65/month). Other male fertility supplements range in cost from $30 to $120 per month. However, it is difficult to really compare all of the supplements marketed to improve male fertility because the individual formulations differ greatly from one another. The quality of the supplements can also differ. For example, many of these supplements contain herbal ingredients that are difficult to standardize for content accuracy and purity. ConceptionXR® is the only one of these supplements that is independently certified for content accuracy and purity or backed by a medical advisory board comprised of leading academic physicians and scientists. Is ConceptionXR® regulated by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration)?
ConceptionXR® is a nutritional supplement, not a prescription medication. All nutritional supplements are regulated by the FDA as foods, and are not subject to the stringent testing that prescription medications must undergo. Therefore, quality control of the dietary supplement industry is not well regulated. Because of this “lack of regulation” ConceptionXR® has been certified for content accuracy, product purity, and freedom from contamination by NSF® International, a non-profit agency that provides quality assurance testing in the public health and life safety industries.
